Written application
Family and candidate information, three personal essays written by the candidate himself, two short answers, and a parent or guardian statement.
Submitted onlineAdmission to Valorhood is selective by design. Each year we admit a small cohort of young men who show the character, hunger, and family commitment to walk a demanding four-year path. Every application is read in full and decided by committee.
Each stage is a gate. Candidates move forward only when the admissions team invites them to the next step.

Both required to proceedAt least two readers review every file in full. Strong files are advanced to interviews; the rest receive a decision at this stage.
By invitation onlyA conversation with parents or guardians about their son, their expectations, and their readiness to partner with us for four years.
By invitation onlyA one-on-one video interview with a Valorhood mentor. No rehearsed answers needed; we want to meet the young man as he really is.
By invitation onlyThe admissions committee reviews the complete file and issues one of three decisions: admitted, waitlisted, or not admitted.
Decisions are final for the cycleWe don't admit on grades, athletic ability, or polish. We read every file looking for a young man who is ready to be formed, and a family ready to stand behind him.
A real desire to grow in faith and become a man of God. Not perfection, just a willingness to be challenged.
The humility to receive correction, own mistakes, and keep showing up when it gets hard.
The discipline to honor a four-year journey: attendance, assignments, and accountability to his brothers.
Parents or guardians who are invested in the mission and will reinforce the work at home.
For families who are certain Valorhood is the right path. Early applicants are reviewed first and may be admitted, waitlisted, deferred to the regular round, or not admitted.
Dates announced each cycleThe main application round. Remaining seats are filled once all regular applications have been read and interviewed.
Dates announced each cycleWaitlisted candidates are reconsidered only if seats open. Candidates not admitted may reapply in a later cycle if they are still within the age range.
No ranking is sharedPlan for this to take time. The essays must be written by the candidate in his own words; we can tell when they aren't. Parents complete the family sections and the parent statement. Incomplete applications are not reviewed. Please do not include medical records, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive documents.
